Suzlon subsidiary to sell 35% stake in Hansen

AE Rotor Holding B.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Suzlon Energy today announced that it plans to sell a 35 per cent stake in Hansen Transmissions. - Suzlon opens wind farm in Australia - REpower"s H1 net profit rises 21.5% - Markets at a glance - VRL looking to exit its wind power business - Suzlon scales down forecast - Suzlon"s loss widens to Rs 356 cr The firm has appointed Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley to manage the sale. Hansen is a designer, manufacturer and supplier of wind turbines and industrial gearboxes. The firm recently leased a site in a Special Economic Zone in Coimbatore and has commenced a €270 million project to build an integrated manufacturing plant for the manufacture of wind turbine gearboxes which is expected to reach full capacity in April 2011.
