Ramsarup Ind signs power purchase agreement

Ramsarup Industries, a leading manufacturer of steel wires in India, has signed a power purchase agreement for its waste heat, CO-gas based 22 MW power plant with West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company (WBSEDCL) , a state government owned electrical utility company. - Ramsarup Ind bags Rs 164cr rural electricity order - Dunlop to restart plant, but wage issues persist - Ruia threatens to shelve reopening of Dunlop unit - BDA may acquire 700 acres of private land for SRZ - Massive power cut hits Kolkata - Infra constraints at Talcher hit coal supply The 22 MW power plant at Kharagpur was commissioned in June 2009. The power unit as per the agreement will supply 118.6 million units per annum to WBSEDCL, thereby generating annual revenue of Rs 60 crore per annum. The agreement will remain valid for 25 years and is further extendable on mutual terms and condition.
