Kerala jewellery expo from Nov 21

Over 175 exhibitors from India and abroad are expected to showcase their designs and products at the second edition of the Kerala Gem and Jewellery Show, which begins here from November 21. - Gold hits new high at Rs 16,240/10 gm - World Gold Council launches national gold festival - China may overtake India in gold demand - Gold import duty hike may spur smuggling: WGC - Half-gram gold coins may become a hot pick - Gold imports may resume The three-day show is being organised by The Art of Jewellery in association with the All Kerala Gold & Silver Merchants Association, Jewellery Manufacturing Association of Kerala and the World Gold Council. PV Jose, convenor, said the show had been conceived as an ideal platform for jewellery manufacturers, retailers, artisans, and exporters to interact, network, source latest designs and enhance their knowledge. Kerala is one of the largest jewellery hubs in south India and has around 3,000 large and medium size manufacturers. Around 40,000 artisans are employed in this trade and about 650 kg of gold is being traded daily in the state. Concurrently, The All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation will conduct its board of directors and governing board of directors meeting at the event. Educational and informative seminars on current issues and technological advancements in the jewellery sector too will be organised during the event.
